About me

Hello there! I'm Chastity Elgin, and I’m thrilled to share a little bit about my life and passions with you. I am from the charming town of Pontotoc, Mississippi, where I live with my wonderful husband of over twenty years and our three beautiful teenagers. Family is everything to me, and I cherish every moment spent with them.

Recently, I’ve been given the incredible opportunity to work part-time on the ambulance. After dedicating over ten years as a full-time paramedic, my husband has supported me in this new chapter, allowing me to balance my passion for crafting with my commitment to helping others. It’s a rewarding experience that keeps me grounded and connected to my community. With ever stitch, or every item made, it helps mend my heart from the trauma and devastation Ive witnessed on the ambulance. It helps heal my PTSD, and knowing I can make something special for someone that will make them smile, makes me so very happy.

Crafting has been a part of my life since I was a little girl. My mom was a talented seamstress who sewed for the public, and I was always eager to learn from her. I would sit next to her at her  sewing table, soaking in every detail of her work. Although she didn’t teach me everything directly, I was a keen observer and a visual learner, which helped me pick up the craft naturally. My mom even gifted me a sewing machine with a marker to trace patterns, igniting my passion for sewing and crafting.

Over the years, I have honed my skills and developed a love for creating unique, handmade products. Each piece I craft is infused with love and attention to detail, reflecting my personal style and the values I hold dear. Whether it’s a custom-made quilted jacket or a charming Bible bookmark, I pour my heart into every creation, making sure they resonate with the people who will cherish them.

Crafting is not just a hobby for me; it’s a way to express my creativity and share a piece of my heart with others. I believe that handmade items carry a special warmth and personality that store-bought products simply can’t match. They tell a story, evoke memories, and create connections, and I am honored to be a part of that journey for others.

Thank you for taking the time to learn a bit about me and my crafting journey. I hope my story inspires you to embrace your own passions, whether it’s sewing, crafting, or any other creative endeavor. Remember, it’s never too late to explore what you love!
